A Precious Moment

It's been a busy couple of days this week getting everything packed up and ready to be loaded on the truck. The trailer was dropped off this morning, so now we have a few days to get it loaded. Busy, busy time! Anyways, today while we were taking a short break from packing, Parker found the mirror off of our dresser. Here is what he was doing.

He was giving himself kisses!! It was so cute! He likes to give big kisses, usually with his mouth wide open, and grasping your face. It can be a very painful experience for the reciever, especially if he uses his teeth also!! Anyways it was so precious to see him giving the baby on the other side of the mirror kisses!
Here is another cute shot of him.

Parker is 1!!!

Wow!! I can hardly believe that my baby is one already. His birthday was yesterday, and we had a fun filled day of preparing for a yard sale--woohoo!! We did have pizza, cake and ice cream with some friends too. It was fun. Some highlights were Parker eating a whole piece of pizza, burning his finger on his candle, eating a cupcake, and smearing icing all over his face. It was great, minus the burning part! Here are some pics.

Parker is such a great son, and we are truly blessed to have him. He has definitely blessed our lives this year, and has helped us keep going through some tough times. His unconditional love for us, and his big smile truly warm our hearts and help us remember what's important in life. Thank you sweet baby. I love you.

Update...

I thought I'd better give a little update on our lives here in Florida. Well Parker got over his fever and is back to 100%. He is growing up so fast, and will be one on Friday! I can't hardly believe it. He is also FINALLY trying to crawl on his hands and knees. He is still learning, and doesn't go very far yet before he plops down on his tummy and does the army crawl!! I think it'll still be awhile yet before he walks, which is fine by me.

Travis and I have been getting ready for the big move. We have less than two weeks before we head back to Utah. It's coming so fast, I am really excited to see my family, but I haven't allowed myself to think much about how sad it will be to leave Jacksonville. I have a feeling that it is going to come boiling up one of these days. We really do love it here, and will miss our "Florida Family."

We are having a yard sale on Friday to get rid of a lot of our stuff, so this week is full of packing and getting everything ready for the yard sale. Oh the joys of moving! Well I guess that I'd better get to it, I have a pile of boxes sitting on our table that need to be filled!

Yucky Fever:(

Parker has had a fever for the past two days, and it's no fun. Poor little guy. He woke up from his nap yesterday and felt quite warm, so I took his temperature, and sure enough, it was 100.1. The crazy thing is that he doesn't have any other symptoms other than being a little more whimpery than usual. It was a LONG night last night. He woke up crying aroung midnight, so I took him out to the living room with his blankie, bunny, bottle, and a pillow, and put on the movie Cars for him. He calmed right down--he LOVES to watch tv--so I decided to grab a blanket and sleep on the couch(it's actually a loveseat, and I'm a tall person, so it wasn't too comfy!) I figured that he would fall back to sleep sometime during the movie, but he didn't. Luckily for me he was pretty content to watch Cars over and over again, three times total I think. I slept in spurts of probably 30 min to an hour. At one time when I woke up to check on him, he was laying on his tummy on the cold, hard wood floor asleep. He looked comfortable so I just left him-I figured it probably felt good on his hot body. At about six I gave him some tylenol, another bottle, and restarted Cars, and he finally fell asleep, but was up at 8:00. Well he is fussing in his crib, so I better go get him. Hopefully he will get feeling better. I feel so bad for him when he is feeling yucky.

Beach Days!!

Today while we were in the middle of cleaning / packing we decided to make a spontaneous trip to the beach since it was such a beautiful day. Parker LOVED playing in the water and sand, and ate his fair share of sand. We are trying to get all the beach time in that we can before we move away from it, oh how we will miss it.

Packing Up...

We started packing up some precious things for the big move!!

We thought it would be easiest to just send Parker in a box on the truck!!

He didn't seem to mind!! CHEESE!!

Parker pulled himself up on the edge of the box which was a first for him-YEAH!
